With the rise of virtual reality and augmented reality, there’s always something new on the horizon in the healthcare industry that is expanding further than ever before. Now, medical professionals are using immersive technologies to provide care in a whole new way – through the metaverse.

Reyada Home Health Care Services, a home care service provider in Abu Dhabi, leads the charge in this new era of virtual healthcare, with its innovative virtual medical center that connects patients with doctors and other medical professionals for convenient and efficient care.

With their vision to pioneer healthcare in the Metaverse, they needed to partner with a company that understands what they wish to establish themselves as leaders of the home healthcare industry in the UAE. They sought the help of Abu Dhabi-based marketing agency, GO Digital to create Reyada Virtual Medical Space.

The Challenge

Create a medical virtual space for Reyada Home Health Care Services to be the first of its kind in the United Arab Emirates that would serve as a convenient platform for patients to connect with doctors and other medical professionals in Dubai and Abu Dhabi.

The first ever metaverse for a healthcare facility in the UAE with complete integration of a CRM and a payment gateway.

The Beginning

What started out as an ambitious project for Reyada Home Care’s CEO, turned into a reality with the help of GO Digital. The team understood that this would be a first in the region so we went above and beyond to make sure that this metaverse project is done right.

We spent about 2 weeks with their management team going back and forth with great ideas and concepts and different studies to make sure that the metaverse for Reyada Home Care was done to perfection.

The Process

GO Digital’s metaverse development and design team went through a few different concepts with the Reyada Home Care team. We started with a basic idea of what they wanted and then built on that to create a metaverse that would be perfect for their needs.

We took into consideration the type of patients they have, the services they offer, and even the type of metaverse they wanted to be in.

After a few rounds of discussion and deliberation, we finally arrived at a metaverse design that would work perfectly for Reyada Home Care and their target users.

Conceptualized, designed, and created in just over 500 hours, the Reyada Metaverse is a virtual medical space that allows you to explore the new era of healthcare. This Reyada Virtual Medical Space is the first of its kind in the Metaverse, and it offers patients a wealth of new opportunities to receive medical care.

The metaverse we created for Reyada Home Care is a complete virtual medical space that includes spaces for different health services, a virtual assistant, an online consultation as well as live chat support, all inside the Reyada Metaverse.

Metaverse Portals

Speech Therapy

Here, the Speech Pathologist will work with patients to help improve their communication skills. But the focus here is communication; the therapist will work with people who have difficulty communicating to get better.

Physical Therapy

Patients who are injured often need to spend time in physical therapy sessions. This room has all the necessary equipment for helping them recover from their injuries and regain strength, mobility, and others.

Occupational Therapy

The occupational therapy room is a safe space for people who have difficulty with basic life skills. The therapist will teach the patients how to dress, cook their own food and take care of themselves in general so that over time patients may regain their independence.

Respiratory Therapy

In addition, a seniors’ space is available where elderly clients can meet up and socialize with other like-minded individuals. There’s no need for them to be worried about safety or boredom because they’re in the comfort of their own home in virtual reality.

Kids/Infants

We know that children are sponges, absorbing everything around them. We created an environment where a baby can learn and grow with our toys, equipment, and activities for development. Our space is made so every child has an opportunity at learning through playtime activities.

Tube Feeding

For people who require enteral or tube feeding, we have a dedicated room with comfortable beds and gastronomy tubes. Our dietitian will provide you with the necessary information for your meal plan as well as guide you on how to feed through them comfortably at home.

REVA

Reyada Virtual Assistant or REVA is an AI-supported assistant that can help patients book appointments, get directions to the metaverse, and more. She was created with the goal of providing round-the-clock customer service to all users on the metaverse.

E-Consultations

You can book an appointment with your physician, specialist, or any of the other providers in the Metaverse. A first of its kind in using this technology, this is a great way to get the care you need without having to leave your home.

Live Chat Support

For those who need assistance, there is live chat support that is available. Doctors, patients, and other medical professionals may conduct online interviews, consultations, and meetings within the virtual environment anytime, anywhere that’s convenient for the users.
